E12 - Ash Morris

In episode 12 of the poolside pass podcast we spoke to Ash Morris - Director of Swimming at Hamilton Aquatics in Dubai. Ash discussed the topic of working with swimmers from diverse backgrounds within his programme as well a host of other topics including being able to provide developmental support for all coaches working within his programme. Ensuring he is able to visit other sites his programme runs out of during downtime for his squad to have an input into what other coaches are delivering.

Ash also spoke briefly about how coaches can sometimes pay lip service to skill and technical development without actually engaging with the process, he highlighted the importance of setting out the priorities in your club structure of what the real aim is for each group.
